The following rules applies when duplicating folders, aliases, edges, references etc.:
• If you duplicate a folder, you automatically duplicate the contents of the folder as well.
• If you duplicate an alias, but NOT its ego node, the new alias will be an alias of the same ego node as the original.
• If you duplicate an alias AND its ego node (in the same duplicate operation), the new alias will be an alias of the new ego node.
• An edge is duplicated each time any of its incident nodes are duplicated.
• If only the input node of an edge is duplicated, the new edge will get the same output node as the original edge.
• If only the output node of an edge is duplicated, the new edge will get the same input node as the original edge.
• If you duplicate a node with a reference attached, DynRisk assumes that you want to duplicate the reference as well, and you will be asked to specify a new unique name for the new reference. The new reference will be attached to the new node. If you do not want to duplicate the reference, you just click the “Cancel” button in the dialog box.
• If you duplicate an edge which is linked to a reference, but NOT the reference itself, the new edge will be linked to the same reference as the original edge.
• If you duplicate an edge which is linked to a reference, AND the reference itself (in the same duplicate operation), the new edge will be linked to the new reference.
